Take part as volunteers in hosting the meeting of Olympic Movement in the Czech Republic

Do you want to get to know the environment of the largest meeting of the Olympic Movement outside the Olympic Games? Then you can take part as volunteers in the XXII General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) to be held from October 31 to November 3, 2017.

‘There will be top international sports administrators in Prague, including the President of the ANOC and the heads of other top organizations; representatives of all national Olympic committees will also arrive. Prague hasn’t hosted a sporting conference of this magnitude before. This is the largest gathering of countries outside the Olympic Games; there will be people from 206 different countries – that’s more than the United Nations! Being there could thus be a great experience for students of various fields of study, ranging from sports management through international relations to diplomacy,’ says Roman Kumpošt, the vice-President of the Czech Olympic Committee for Foreign Relations.

Volunteers can apply HERE. The basic requirements for all positions is the minimal age of 18 and good knowledge of English or other languages, especially French and Spanish. Volunteers will for example prepare and issue accreditations; they will also help with various accompanying and cultural programmes and assist with the organization of arrivals and departures, logistics and transport.
Candidates can choose their preferred position and also their participation between October 25and November 5, 2017. The General Assembly itself preceded by a meeting of Continental Associations, to take one example, will take place on November 1 and November 2. The night of 1 November will also be the time for bestowing the ANOC Awards, which will be attended by a number of sports stars.

Besides valuable experience, volunteers will also receive a T-shirt and a jacket, as well as a certificate declaring that they participated in the XXII ANOC General Assembly attended by representatives of 206 National Olympic Committees.
